Lost- a poem by David Wagoner

Lost

Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you,
If you leave it you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

One Forest

Vision: One Forest - Many Trees - Rich in Blossom

The forest is the metaphor for the Universe. Each tree is a component, an individualization of the larger idea. We celebrate the forest, the trees and each tree's blossom.

Mission: Plant, Til, Blossom, Reap

What is this based on?
We believe that there is a power for good in the Universe. It is available for each of us to use. Some people call it Universe, Spirit or God and we are all part of it. We are like the droplets in the large and expansive ocean. We believe that each of our thoughts has power. What we think is operated upon by a law which then creates an effect. This type of philosphy is not new. In the New Testament, it is described as "It is done unto you as you believe". So we plant seeds of what we desire and create the wondrous blossoms of our lives. This is the Science of Mind. SOM is a philosophy that is life affirming. Join us in recognizing and celebrating the beauty of the trees in this vast forest we call life.
